ColdFusion Builder 3 Mandatory Update

This patch containing the mandatory update for ColdFusion Builder 3 resolves the ‘Update URL Issue’ that prevents your copy of ColdFusion Builder to download and install updates from our server.

If you have installed ColdFusion Builder 3 as a standalone application by using the installer that you have downloaded between April 25 and May 25, you need to apply this patch.

If you don’t want to apply this patch, you should uninstall and install the latest build of ColdFusion Builder 3. To apply the patch, follow the instructions provided in the bundled readme file.

Visit ColdFusion Builder 2 Hot Fix 1 for information and to download the hot fixes. Adobe recommends this hotfix be applied only to ColdFusion Builder 2.

Install new Software -> Available Software -> Add -> Archive and then select the zip file location and name it and then close the 'Available Software' window.

Once configured, to install the update
Click on Help -> Check for Updates and proceed

Restart ColdFusion Builder/Eclipse to see the update notification and by clicking on the notification message you can install the update.

Once you configure this, from the next update onwards, if you just replace the zip file at your repository path you can install the update.

There are two different downloads available one is meant for ColdFusion Builder Standalone installation and the other one is for ColdFusion Builder Eclipse Plugins installation. Make sure to use the one required depending on your installation type.

If you log in as a non-Admin ColdFusion user, the section Server Settings > Security in ColdFusion Administrator displays an error.

To uninstall the update, perform one of the following:

• In ColdFusion Administrator, click Uninstall in Server Update > Updates > Installed Updates.
• Run the uninstaller for the update from the command prompt. For example, java -jar {cf_install_home}/{instance_home}/hf_updates/hf-2018-00003-314033/uninstall /uninstaller.jar

If you can't uninstall the update using the above-mentioned uninstall options, the uninstaller could be corrupted. However, you can manually uninstall the update by doing the following:

1. Delete the update jar from {cf_install_home}/{instance_name}/lib/updates.
2. Copy all folders from {cf_install_home}/{instance_name}/hf-updates/{hf-2018-00003-314033}/backup directory to {cf_install_home}/{instance_name}/
